A 'turn' counts as a post.
What to do Each Turn
- Deal Damage
You're allowed to use one damage dealing attack each turn, you can use it with another tactic, [continue reading].
- Attack + Dodge
Using this method your Pokemon is allowed to use one offensive attack [eg: Scratch] and dodge. It can dodge by moving out of the way, or use another attack in order to dodge. eg: The Zigzagoon saw the bubble beam coming straight for it, in effort to dodge the potentially devastating attack, she stepped nimbly around it. OR The Zigzagoon was startled at the speed of the on coming Poochyena's tackle, it was coming straight towards her. Knowing that her speed greatly trumped the dog Pokemon's, she used Quick Attack, not aiming to hurt, aiming to out speed her opponent and run away from the attack.
- Offensive + Boosting or Lowering
Your Pokemon can use an offensive attack [eg: Tackle] and a 'boosting or lowering' attack, [eg: Growl, Tail Whip, Sand-Attack etc.]
- Offensive + Status
You can use one offensive attack and one status affecting attack. [eg: Headbutt and Poison Gas]
- Boosting or Lowering + Status
You can use one boosting or lowering attack and one status attack. [eg: Growl and Yawn]
- Offensive + Item
You can use an offensive attack [eg: Ember] and an item, [eg: Potion]
- Boosting or Lowering + Item
You can use a boosting or lowering attack and an item. [eg: Leer and Super Potion]
- Switch
You can simply switch your Pokemon out with another one.
Status Effects
There can be one damaging attack and one 'hindering' attack. Damaging effects do exactly what they're name says, they damage. Hindering effects prevent the Pokemon from moving/fighting back etc.
- Paralysis
- Sleep
- Freeze
- Confusion [Pokemon will be unable to move, in addition to this, there is the possibility that the Pokemon will injure themselves in their confusion, it's ultimately your choice]
- Attract
During Paralysis and Attract the Pokemon may not attack for two turns, they may however use boosting or lowering attacks. During Sleep, Freeze or Confusion the Pokemon will be unable to attack or move three.
