Hello, I'm Feonix.
I've seventeen, and soon to be a student at Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College (also known as FAU Honors). I plan on majoring in pathology.
I'm a lay musician - I play the flute and keyboard in my spare time. I have a gorgeous Yamaha flute I got in a secondhand store which is practically my baby. I enjoy writing and reading, particularly macabre things. Right now, I'm going through the Sherlock Holmes collection. I'm also an artist, although I don't have much inspiration. I particularly enjoy drawing dragons. I wish I had a tablet, as there doesn't seem to be much support for traditional work on the internet.
I haven't roleplayed in years. I came up with the character Roderik Wolfgang on the site partially based on an old valedictorian acquaintance of mine, and his name is a conglomerate of the composer and the Nobel Prize winner.
I'm an atheist and a member of the James Randi Educational Foundation.

Ohai there. This be Rain. :)
I just got out of grade 9, so... can't really say much about college right now. Have fun there? x3;;
I used to play the flute too, but recently I dropped that to focus on vocal music instead of instrumental. I still pull out that ol' silver thing once in a while and blow a few notes, but I've gotten really rusty. .___.
What do you mean by "traditional work"? Pencil-and-paper type drawings? I draw too, always by hand and then scanning and outlining/colouring it on my desktop. My dad has a tablet, but I actually find that more difficult to use for some odd reason. o.o
&& oh yeah. Welcome~ ;D

Thanks. Nice to meet a fellow flutist (floutist?)
Yeah, the tablet's hard to work with, but it takes perseverance to get used to. Once you get over the initial awkwardness, you're set. A good program for tabletwork/whatever is Paint.Net - it's basically a free Photoshop. I usually do pen/colored/pencil and paper, with some photography and painting.

Heya there Feonix! even though we already met in the cbox
Meh, I draw during class, and play around with my tablet. Agreed, tablets are hard at first but once you get use to them, it takes away the pains of having to scan/digitalize your work. XP Plus the control+z is a very useful feature, lol.
Also a college person. YAY! Currently second year at my university, just shifted from accounting(boo!) to computer science, hehe. I'm hoping to scrap it through and major in game programming. =D

The ctrl+z thing is so true it's scary.
Where do you go to college?

Hullo, I'm Badger. Nice to meet you and such. :3
Pathology? Wonderful! I'm a pre-med minor, writing major. Good luck with it.
Also, I highly approve of Holmes, and Doyle in general. <3<3<3 Macabre things are my specialty, actually! Horror writer, primarily, with a flair for adventure stories.
Two more things: Tablets are excellent, and welcome back to roleplaying. Congrats on the two little Pokes you've already got! Your Gibble cracks me up.

I just finished the first book of Holmes earlier, now I have to get through the second. It's funny reading the last story of book one and realizing that he essentially pulled a rather clever trick in his revival.

Hello Feonix, this is you mom.
Lol, jk. I'm Birdy, in case you hadn't worked that out yet. You guys are all older than me! I'm 14, so yeah... Anyways, I like playing instruments too. I play piano and violin and am a member of a string orchestra outside of school, which is fun.
As for the Holmes series... I've read one of them, and I can tell you now that my class are a little immature and when reading them we all giggle at the words which weren't naught then but are now. That's how cool we are.

I distinctly remember wanting to hit those sorts of kids with my textbook. Then again, I've never had a childhood, lol.

Ha, in my school it'd probably be the other way round That or you'd explain it to them 'till they understood. In my school, everyone messes around and has fun but somehow we get good grades and people think we're working. How can you have never had a childhood?
